  • Ann Sinclair Landscape Design is a landscape design firm in the Boston area.  Ann has a broad knowledge of ornamental and northeastern U.S. native plants, and enjoys working with indigenous plantings and the natural dynamics of a site whenever possible.

  • The Bioengineering Group, Inc., founded by Wendi Goldsmith '90, specializes in the use of vegetation to control and manage difficult construction sites.

  • Bonnie Ulin Incorporated, in Boston, employs Conway graduate Jennifer Nawada Evans '00.

  • Cavanagh Landscape Design is owned and operated by alum Michael Cavanagh and is focused on providing ecological, sustainable, creative solutions to landscape needs in Rhode Island. 

  • Cindy Tavernise is both a landscape designer and a fine artist.  Her Web site shows some of her current paintings available for purchase.

  • Cleaver Design Associates is a firm in the San Francisco bay area co-founded by Conway graduate Donna Eldridge.

  • Creative Habitat Corp in White Plains, New York, employs Aaron Schlechter '01 as a project manager.  CHC works throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic and specializes in ecological restoration design, bioengineering, wetland creation and restoration.

  • EarthView Design is a multidisciplinary landscape design, land planning, construction and environmental consulting company started by Shawn Callaghan '05.  EVD plans and builds ecologically viable, functional and beautiful outdoor environments.  Wildlife habitat creation is their specialty.

  • Garden by Design Inc. is a landscape design and build company serving Eastern Massachusetts. Founded by Mark Benkley '93, it is dedicated to the pursuit of custom design solutions.

  • Grounds for Growth specializes in environmentally sensitive landscape design and installation. It is based in Chicago and owned by alum Laurie Tanenbaum.

  • Jones and Stokes employs Brian Higgins as a restoration specialist.  Brian  recently worked with the Army Corps of Engineers to develop floodplain restoration plans for four different sites on the lower American River within urbanized Sacramento, totaling about 1,000 acres.

  • Jack Hannula graduated from both UMASS at Amherst and the Conway School of Landscape Design. He minored in art. This page illustrates several artworks by Jack.

  • Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning: A Subject Research Guide and a Sustainability Resource List have been created by Madeleine Charney '03, now a reference librarian at UMASS.

  • Landscape Legacy is located in Sacramento, California and has work completed or underway in both New England and California. Melissa Mourkas '94 is a Landscape Architect and Principal of Landscape Legacy.  The firm is committed to the art of creating living landscapes designed for the future and to the practice of preserving historic landscapes and architecture.

  • Lasoff Landscape Design is located in southwestern Vermont. Nick Lasoff '05 works primarily in the northeastern United States and provides a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal services.

  • Learning by the Yard is owned by Ginny Sullivan '86 and Ruth Parnall. Their mission is to support healthy child life and community development through the design of outdoor spaces and curriculum development.

  • Minglewood Designs is the ecological design firm of Angela Kearney Seaborg '03. It is dedicated to creating harmonious garden environments for residential and community clients.

  • Natural Resources Design, Inc. is an ecologically-focused landscape design firm established by Lauren Wheeler '03 and Jenny Reed '03. They provide sustainable landscape options for residential, commercial, and community projects in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

  • Nuzzi Landscape, a family operated design-build firm in central Connecticut features the work of John Nuzzi, Class of '87.

  • Okerstrom-Lang in Great Barrington employs CSLD  grad Christine McGrath '97. 

  • Pittsboro Penguins is the sculpture studio and business of Karen Tiede '87. She specializes in penguin decoys, penguin fountains, and other ornithologically accurate penguin art.

  • Scenic Hudson, a land trust in  based in Poughkeepsie, NY, employs CSLD grads Jay Levine '01 and Josh Clague '04.

  • Second Nature Design, in San Francisco, was founded by alum Alma Hecht, and specializes in designing for beauty and sustainability.

  • Susan Reed, L.A.  Sue is a CSLD grad (class of '87), as well as a faculty member. She practices in the Pioneer Valley and designs landscapes that are "elegantly simple, beautifully usable, and environmentally healthy."

  • Twinleaf Associates mission is to create beautiful, ecologically sensitive and regionally appropriate landscapes well-suited to the people who use them. It was founded by Selina Rossiter and Sonja Kenny, both '02 graduates.

  • Whole Systems Design is Ben Falk's firm in Vermont. Ben does projects on his own, teaches, and collaborates with others in developing regenerative living spaces.

  • Young's Landscape employs Steve Stranz '87 as a licensed landscape architect, based in New Jersey. Steve specializes in residential landscape architecture, backyard living spaces, water features and custom-built structures.
