Join us for Conway’s 40th Anniversary Celebration on the weekend of September 28-30, 2012.
We have planned a full weekend of events here in Conway and surrounding towns, held as New England’s spectacular fall colors begin to emerge.
Friday, September 28: Bill McKibben Keynote Address
- Bill McKibben kicks off the weekend with a keynote address honoring Conway’s four decades
- Free and open to the public. Stay tuned for details.
Saturday, September 29-Sunday, September 30: All-class Reunion
- On Saturday, choose from an array of workshops, field trips, lectures and design charettes suggested and organized by alums and friends of the school.
- Saturday evening we will enjoy a festive fall meal under a tent at a local farm. We plan to feature slides from 40 years of Conway, and toast the rich legacy of directors, faculty, staff and students who have made a difference in the world. Dancing follows with a local band.
- Sunday will provide chance to visit with classmates informally, stop by the Conway School for a light breakfast, and participate in the town’s annual Festival of the Hills.
- Stay tuned for registration details.
Participate: Plans are underway. We welcome your help and your ideas! For more information, contact Mollie Babize ’84, babize@csld.edu.

Things to do to commemorate Conway’s fortieth year:
- Read Jane Roy Brown’s new book about the school, Drawing Lessons: Forty Years of Design Education at the Conway School.
- Visit the school for formal presentations, graduation 2012, or other special gatherings. (See the calendar for updates.)
- Stay tuned for more details about our 40th Anniversary Celebration on the weekend of September 28-30, 2012.
