Study Options After Graduation
After graduation some students seek additional training or education, depending on their career goals.
- Conway’s annual David Bird International Service Fellowship carries a stipend of $5,000 for a recent graduate to undertake a 2-4 month international public service project and upon return, to enhance the Conway program by being in residence at the school.
- Conway has a program to connect graduates interested in an internship with alums who have paid or unpaid positions to offer. The number and location of internships available varies from year to year.
- Conway has a special agreement with the nearby University of Massachusetts at Amherst, allowing students who wish to obtain a professional three-year degree in landscape architecture to reduce study toward the UMass degree by up to one year.
- Conway collaborates with the Prescott, Arizona-based Ecosa Institute, which offers a fall term for designers interested in exploring an interdisciplinary approach to sustainable design.
“I know of no other design school that prepares its students so meaningfully to be effective advocates for decisions and actions that lead to environmentally sustainable outcomes.” – Wendi Goldsmith ’90, Founder + CEO, the Bioengineering Group
